As Austin is descended upon by a bevy of national lifestyle brands presented as lounges, showcases, and panels, two area companies are teaming up to present a decidedly Austin take on culture and entertainment with “#PowerUpATX: Rest, Relax, and Recharge.”

Launch787 (producers of Austin Fashion Week, Modern Home Tour, et al) and Wyatt Brand (public relations, design, and branding for predominantly cultural clients) have conceived of a novel approach to a SXSW event: rather than leading attendees through a stanchioned maze before bombarding them with cheap freebies and fleeting flash, why not create a place for the weary to rest, relax, and recharge.
